I was not trying to start a discussion on Universal VS Single payer. The point of both is the same — heal sick people, not improve profit margins.

It’s not hair splitting. There are several universal care models that could be modified to work in the US. It would be like rearranging the furniture in your house. Single payer’s not one of them; putting single payer in the US would be like rearranging the furniture by burning the house down.
For your sake, I hope you don’t have to face hardship due to mounting medical bills. As it is shameful we even have such a thing as Medical bankruptcy!
If the ACA was written differently, we wouldn’t have it at all. Solving Med Bankruptcy is a piece of cake, or was, until the ACA kicked the price of basic plans into the stratosphere.
