You know, Robert, this is the lady who went on CBS’s air and stated that the cause of Benghazi was a video, even though immediately preceding her in the same segment the Libyan Interior Minister stated that it was definitely not a video per their internal investigation.
I know it’s logically fallacious to reject information due to source, but this woman is an experienced partisan liar. I can’t figure out why I should suddenly take her seriously after she threw her own counterparty under the bus to maintain a fraudulent account of the Benghazi matter.
So….I kinda want to see documentation of anything that comes out of her mouth.
But, to your questions…….
- Having a National Stockpile is one way to skin the cat, but I don’t think it’s efficient or wise to have a Raiders of the Lost Ark — style warehouse full of materials which have a shelf-life hundreds and thousands of miles from where those materials are needed. Further, this warehouse was depleted, according to sources, during the H1N1 matter, and stores weren’t replenished by either Obama nor Trump, leading to where we are today.
- Not seeing what or how the Defense Production Act nor military logistics is necessarily related. Obviously in a free country you need a way to herd the cats and get private industry to produce what you need — — the problem is that our supply chains start out overseas, which has been something our government has foisted on us for the last thirty years.
- And military logistics is tuned for military requirements. This has been an issue with field hospitals in Seattle and NYC, and the USS Comfort and Mercy — — these are all designed for trauma patients, not infectious disease.
