Yes and yes. A couple of thoughts:
First, quite right about the skepticism we should view leaked documents with. The documents show that Russia was indeed interested in impacting our elections further, but if you think about it, might possibly contradict those who want to attach that effort to the President.
If you were the young lady in question, one can reasonable assume one thing clearly: that she released what she considered to be the most damning item she was aware of to forward to The Intercept.
This means by omission, she had no information that connected the Administration or campaign to those efforts. Either she was not privy to it, or it does not exist.
Secondly, if it’s not obvious to everyone at this point, voting machines, nor vote tabulating machines, should have any networking capabilities.
