Communism, at its core, is founded on equality.

Heh. It uses equality as a means to a totalitarian end, because to establish that equality, you put a gun to everyone’s head that isn’t politically correct on the equality issue (after all, that term COMES from communism) and pull the trigger.

That’s why Roger Nash Baldwin founded the ACLU, after all. After a trip to the Soviet Union, where he witnessed some nonconformists being executed for their nonconformity (he thought that regrettable but necessary to achieve the end of equality, a notion which should sound familiar if you listen to Antifa rhetoric), he became convinced that the only path to equality was through a totalitarian (communist) form of government, which would only be achieved in the US by an absolute commitment to the Bill of Rights and demanding equality of outcome.

Free markets, free minds. Question all narratives. If you think one political party is right and the other party is evil, the problem with our politics is you.
