Yea, you are.
Well, now you have a reference from an expert that disagrees.
And I gave you reports that agree so?
Thanks. There appear to be differing opinions.
You think they are proud of their involvement with the man?
Please stop pretending like the only credible information available in the entire world are those who work at the CIA and those who paint OBL as an angel, it is almost as if you have an emotional need to fix OBL’s honor or something, he was indeed involved in the fighting, you earlier praised one guy you claimed was a good researcher but how about all the other news outlets and book writers and the Operation Cyclone reports that name him, etc, but all that is wrong because you can cherry pick a couple people who say he was just a nobody?
Oh, Sweet Jesus. Now I get it. You don’t just read people words and react to them; you think you’re Miss Cleo. You think you can read between the lines and discern motives. And anyone who disagrees with you must have some hidden agenda.
Let me help:
- Steve Coll is a highly renowned winner of multiple Pulitzers for investigative and explanatory journalism. That means that he is smart enough to know that the CIA doesn’t always tell the truth and doesn’t stop because one source tells him something. Give the guy some fucking credit, go read the book, and stop attacking me for referencing it.
- Osama bin Laden was one of the most heinous actors ever to be placed on the planet Earth. In my mind, he’s Hitler on a smaller scale. What he did in the 1980’s in Afganistan does not affect that assessment one iota.
The contention which is often made here by those wishing to slander US foreign policy in the region is that “The CIA trained OBL”. That’s simply not true.
Here you go again putting words in my mouth, why do you constantly do that?
PLEASE REREAD. I NEVER SAID YOU MADE THAT CLAIM. I AM POINTING OUT THAT THIS IS WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DONE.
I never made that claim, I never said anything close to that but here you are and your entire argument is based on defending OBL’s honor
Laughs. And you’re not putting words in MY mouth by saying that, right? In that I’ve never said one nice thing about that SOB in my entire life, and never will? Because I disagree with you on Afghanistan I’m, “defending his honor??”
Double standard much?
so desperately you completely ignore any evidence that proves he was fighting Russians and deeply involved in recruiting and training of fighters.
I didn’t ignore any evidence. But evidence is not proof. There’s a difference here.
I am sorry you feel an emotional need to defend the man’s honor as if he had any.
And I’m sorry you feel the need to use personal attacks instead of honest debate.
Enough. You’re simply not an honest debater.
