Yea, I'm sorry too. It's never too "old" to remind the schools that the teaching of morals and values is up to the parents, not the schools.
We went through a cycle of this mess back when the schools were trying something called "values clarification", and then again when they tried to push in certain types of ethics-less sex education which clashed with the views of parents of various religions and ethnicities. The schools are there to educate the kids, which includes citizenship on the shared values as expressed in the Constitution. They are not there to teach them moral lessons. That's on us.
