Whenever the “stock market benefits only the rich” argument gets trotted out, my first thought is “OK, how can we get everyone involved in the stock market.”

This usually results in a negative reaction from the same people making the point that only the rich benefit from the stock market. :-)

If you want to make the stock market rise in a non-bubble way, AND have everyone benefit from it, create a sort of national 401K. But if you don’t like that idea, then don’t complain that only the rich benefit from the stock market. :-)
