The fact remains that white supremacy is a common belief among Americans. They overwhelmingly support the Republican Party because the Republican Party overwhelmingly supports them.
What utter nonsense.
“White Supremacist Beliefs” are on the verge of being unmeasurable in the US. And, you’ll note that Democrats, although being a bit less racist, are very close to being just as racist as Republicans.
Further, although Oprah got pilloried the other day by many when she said that the solution to racism was that “white racists need to die out”, she was precisely correct; the demographics of the remaining racists in this country show them to be concentrated in the senior citizen bracket, mostly in the Deep South and Northeastern states.
This is, of course, assuming, that racism doesn’t experience a millenial resurgence:
Millennials are just about as racist as their parents
Racial slurs that have cropped up chants, e-mails and white boards on America's college campuses have some people…
There is no FACTUAL basis for claiming that the GOP “supports” racists or racist views. From the above charts, it seems that racists support both parties approximately equally, with a slight GOP lean.
