When three people end up with all the money, who are going to be their customers?

Bingo. And the capitalists understand this, quite well. At some point, a feedback loop invokes, which prevents the rich becoming richer, long before the “three people” extreme is reached.

Unfortunately, it seems that the information technology era, which is currently enabling all this inequality (all Jeff Bezos does, after all, is route the profits of thousands of existing businesses into his own pockets, to the applause, it seems, of the political left and progressives, while they castigated Wal Mart last decade for doing the same.)

Keep pushing that trickle down gibberish, and one day, you are going to force Marxism to happen.

Actually, government is unable to prevent the above tipping point from being reached. It is beyond their control, be the government democratic, socialist..whatever.
