Well, that’s what I thought when I read your post, which clearly damns everyone before the evidence is in. But, gentlewoman that I try to be, I contested your points and gave you the chance to elucidate. Now, I see you’re not just funny, you’re pitiful.
You dismiss Flynn’s lies as “inexplicable.”
That’s not dismissing anything; it’s simply that there seemed to be no good reason for him to lie. Certainly Obama warning Trump didn’t carry any force of law, and Obama is no unbiased source of information.
I am of the opinion that if somebody lies, they ought to pay the price. Flynn appears to be paying the price. None of that connects him to any crime that implicates anyone other than himself.
In my list of convicted and indicted you also ignore George Papadopoulos. Why did you ignore that one?
Because as it appears that he was a minor individual acting on his own. And even if he did not, there is no crime in opposition research. You may personally be incensed about it, but I’m not; it’s not the first time a campaign (and this has occurred in both parties) seemed to be interacting with foreign agents for campaign advantage. That little trick started with Ted Kennedy, as I recall, and if it was OK then, why is it OK now?
And you also want us to ignore that Donald Trump appointed as his Campaign Chairman a money laundering criminal who made money by subverting the interests of his own nation.
I don’t want you to ignore it at all, bubbala. It was obviously bad judgement on the part of Trump. But again, this is not unique in our history, to have associates of a candidate (and later, even cabinet members who were friends of the POTUS) implicated and indicted in felonioius activities. In general, people don’t broadcast to their golfing buddies what kind of illegal crap they’re engaged in.
Evidently I have to repeat it to you: WE DON’T DO GUILT BY ASSOCIATION IN THE USA. The fact that Manafort was trump’s Campaign manager tells us nothing about Trump, and if you try to bring that into a court of law, the judge would kick you out on your ear.
And you know that, I hope.
So, here’s a simple question for you. You’re evidently not young, and you know that none of this is novel, and you know none of this is criminal, so what’s got your goat? Just because it’s Trump?
