Well, that’s been one of my positions on all this from day 1.

If the consensus of the residents of a given city, either by direct vote or by agreement by their elected leaders (normally the city council) decide a particular monument should be moved, then move it to some sort of designated museum (or outdoor area to be designated as such) so those stories can be told in proper context.

Obviously Stone Mountain should be one of the main areas to be so designated. I’ve been there a couple of times (Stone Mountain has a robust Muslim population) and it’s subject matter aside……. it really is an amazing thing to see and experience.
