Well, take health care. My view on fixing it would be something closer to:
Take the money being spent on the ACA, Chips, Medicare, and everything VA except for battle-related conditions, toss it all in a bowl, divide by the number of people in those programs, and send that money to their states of residents with an instruction that the state must make sure that each of them has an insurance plan that has X level of coverage and that nobody spends more than Y% of their income on it. Go figure out how to do it.
You don’t hear that too much from anyone in Congress. Or at all. Except for Rand Paul, they all think in terms of centralized plans, as far as I can see. Perhaps a few more exceptions exist, like Mike Lee and Ted Cruz.
