But as his supporters discover, like many Americans, that they’re either going to owe the government additional tax money on April 15th or that their typical tax refund will be pennies on the dollar, will the cheering stop? Or will they fall in line with the biggest lie of all?

Well, if they’re stupid (which is a bipartisan affectation) they’ll see a smaller return and get mad.

If they’re smart, they’ll look at the line on their 2018 tax form that says “total taxes paid”, compare that to the same line on their 2017 tax form, and realize that if 2017 > 2018, that they made out fine, even if their refund is less than they are accustomed to.

You do realize that THAT is at the heart of the matter, not the refund, eh?
