Taxes would not increase drastically. It’s a ridiculous argument that can only be made in the US because people don’t know better.
Well, I know how to do the math on this, and depending on what assumptions are made, it’s not ridiculous in the least.
If you’ve personally done the math SPECIFIC TO THE US SITUATION, (which is far more fucked up than any other place in the world), I’d love to see it.
The next country on that list spends 2/3 of what the US does.
Chuckles. Yes, we know this. If it were so easy as to just redirect those funds to a national program, we would have done it a long time ago. :-)
