Well, as for your last comment on the comment by DV, I'd go with "cry."
"Kind of inspired by culture from North Africa". KIND OF? This basically shows that DV didn't understand the book, and the entirety of the motivations of the Fremen.
Not that that, or the final treatment of the novel, is all that surprising. The last philosophically thick work in this genre that hit popularity was The Matrix, and when you ask people why they liked it, they boiled it down to a simple Messianic story in their minds. All of the extensive allusions to religious prophecy and a-religious philosophy went ZOOM! over their heads.
