The fact that Che Guevara is still being attacked in the 21st century is proof that his legacy is still very strong today.

True. Whenever and wherever the nightmare of socialism and communism rises up, it must be actively opposed by right-thinking people.

Polling shows that too many US millenials think that socialism is a form of government worth considering. Now, some of that is our own fault, in that we have a rather crappy secondary school system which insufficiently educates students on these alternative philosophies of governance; last cycle, a presidential candidate actually took advantage of this ignorance by touting Denmark as an idyllic example of a socialist country, until a Danish official took the time to correct him. There was no acknowledgement of the fact that socialism is always implemented over the blood of martyrs, many of whom are the actual people the revolutionaries claim to want to help.

So, it may not be Trump at all, as the reason why “Che” is again in the crosshairs of the Americans; the US has a fairly strong immune system when it comes to socialism, and when it encounters the socialist virus, it reacts.
