The problem is that nobody wins arms races.
Abolish the filibuster? Well, assuming there are enough Dem Senators in favor of that (maybe not), then legislation starts getting passed that 49% of the people might not want. Hardly a formula for national unity, and always good to keep in mind that eventually, it will be the other party that holds the Senate and the White House.
Pack the court? Well assuming there are enough Dem Senators in favor of that (not likely), then the next time power shifts, the other party adds some seats also. We'll have a SCOTUS of 99 by the end of the century.
Make DC and PR states? In the highly unlikely scenario that all the Dem senators agree on this one (AND the inevitable constitutional challenge to DC statehood survives the Roberts court) then look forward to states like Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri being carved up into three, creating two rural (and GOP) states from whence there were none.
After Biden wins, I hope everyone's wise enough to put down their weapons, push away from the table, and say "We are where we are. let's move forward."
