Your “no true Scotsman” argument is what holds no water.
The moment a person claims to be the authority or act as a proxy for the authority that determines if a person is in a “group” or not, the argument is made.
; if the person claims a label to which he has no right, then whatever he does is NOT based on what that label represents. The Bible does NOT teach Christians to go out and murder anyone for any reason. the Quran, on the other hand, DOES.
Murder people? That’s simply incorrect. Exodus 20:13 is in the Torah, and therefore is also considered scripturally valid by Muslims.
’The “radical” Muslims, on the other hand, are merely fundamentals FOLLOWING the example set by Muhammad.
They’re not following any example of the Prophet. He never murdered anyone.
The Quran offers NO redemption whatever. Since Yhwh God never changes there’s no possibility they could be authored by the same Person.
Well, of course it offers no “redemption”; redemption assumes that you have something to be redeemed from. It’s an entirely Christian doctrine. Islam maps out a holistic way of life by which the believer reaches heaven. The idea that you’re born with something to be cleansed from isn’t present in Islamic teaching, or Judaism, for that matter.
As for what’s in the Canon; did you think Yhwh God didn’t insure what HE wanted in that book was accepted and what He didn’t wasn’t? That He had NO influence over it? If so; that’s foolish.
I was relating an interesting story. Don’t get your knickers in a snit about it.
There are even better ones, like how the Bishops got into fist fights at one council arguing about hypostases.
