I don’t agree. In my life (I’m 62) the big change in paradigm happened well before this. The 60’s anti-Vietnam “campus radical” movement had a very large racial justice component to it, which is part of the reason why the 60’s saw not just the beginnings of our unwinding from Vietnam, but civil rights legislation.
