They are all too happy to kick him on his way down, but not while he is in power. I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve the kicking, just that they don’t deserve gratitude for doing it when it is so easy. They especially don’t deserve it when it becomes essentially expected of them and a career risk to not do so.
The concept of moral authority comes to mind.
If a person knew of Harvey’s peccadilloes, and failed to speak up LOUDLY at the time they found out (or were accosted), then they are guilty of putting their monetary self-interest above the common good.
Which…..if you think about it…… is what Democrats are always accusing Republicans of doing, in their political policies.
One cannot come away from this with any other lesson than this: for all the screeching at each other we do politically, we’re all the same. If somebody like, say, a Clooney knew about this and said nothing, he’s no different than Trump.
