- The ACA is dead. Even if you’re one of the few remaining holdouts that believes it could have survived on its own, it doesn’t matter. The GOP to a substantial extent just won an election by promising to kill it.
- So now, the question is “what will the replacement look like?”. Shooting holes in every idea (and the motivations BEHIND every idea) that’s floated to replace it is unproductive. It’s a bit like criticizing your new boyfriend because you think the one that dumped you at the altar was so much better. He’s gone. Move on.
- So, pick a replacement idea and get behind it. Single payer isn’t an option. Everything else is.
