They way they were enacted was constitutional.
I suppose they were. However, the fact remains that the people who oppose these regulations were concerned about the fact that the male students could, for all intents and purposes, have life-changing punitive actions taken against them without the ability to adequately defend themselves.

In the colleges, there is a Student Judiciary group who meets to listen to the students, explain to them why they are in danger of being reprimanded, and given a chance to speak for themselves. I know several of the Student Judaical Advocates, and each student is afforded a time and place to speak in their defense. This is collegiate level ‘judicial hearing’.
If there is an actual law broken then police are brought in.
That sounds like a sane and well thought out system.

Because all you’ve done so far was throw out some snark, a few dictionary definitions, and an idealized version of what should happen and what has happened in your own personal experience, which I’m sure does not extend to the thousands of campuses that exist in the USA.
