Now, a policy might impact people of different races differently, just like they might impact different socioeconomic groups differently, or impact different educational groups differently, or different employment groups differently, or different countries differently, or different nationalities differently. Indeed, it would be hard to find an economic policy of the US that doesn’t affect different subgroups differently. And if and when they do, in economics, we call that an unintended consequence.
And if you don’t know what THAT is, you shouldn’t be scribbling about economics.
One of the communications problems we are dealing with of late is the conflation of the terms racIST and racIAL. If everything that is racial is also considered to be racist, then you may as well run up the white flag, because the country is fucked.
