So it’s a mistake to assume that you can calculate the true cost of increased Medicare/Medicaid just by multiplying by the number of extra people covered. There is a social dividend as well which needs to be accounted for.

Never argued otherwise. The problem is that the cost comes out of taxpayer’s pockets, while social benefits accrue elsewhere.

Point? The taxpayer pays, and never sees a return on the investment, even though it may indeed accrue.
