You decide on the “right” thing by being clear about the wrong. If the wrong is stealing the election, then the right thing is to give it back.
My point is that there is no chance of any consensus on what’s “wrong”, here, unless, for example, it were proven that the Russians actually found a way to change election results. To my knowledge, there is no serious allegation of vote tampering.
I have seen no allegation of any other violation of law or even civic sensibilities that would lead into that sort of consensus.
Whether politicians are capable of doing the right thing is a separate question.
I think we know the answer to that question, Professor. And I’m not talking about only one party, and not only about this generation of politicians.
