I’ve had the same Medium experience. I came on here, was “automatically enrolled” (so it seems) for tags Progressivism/Feminism/LGBT/Transgendered/BLM, and so for some months I didn’t pay much attention as it appeared to me that (unfortunately for me) that this lovely, dream come true blogging platform was owned lock stock and barrel by not just the left, but by the propagandized left.

Progressive writers would routinely get thousands of likes. All the comments were supportive of them. Ech.

But, not being shy, I started to stick my toe in, responding to some of those progressive writers. And when I did, I didn’t get much poison back; what I got was likes and followers, indicating that there are a lot of conservative people on Medium READING but not necessarily contributing heavily.

Now, that process has slowed a bit, because the progressive writers are no longer in my daily feed; it was refuting the progressives rationally that was getting me the likes and the followers, it seems. Very interesting.

I wish I had more time to write articles rather than just respond; I’ve been thinking of writing up one that explains how to build a flat tax which would actually work for everyone, but we’ll see how my work goes this week. :-)
