This is not partisan for ME.
It wouldnt have been partisan for me, either, had this all been handled confidentially. Let them come up with some half baked reason for Kav to withdraw. No problem.
However, by leaking this after the hearing, it became a display of raw political power, and the truth became secondary.
I don’t like that either, but it wasn’t the GOP who decided to play this game.
Can you critically think about the cold objective facts- like your “data driven” moniker claims that you can.
Sure. You want cold objective facts? Here they are:
- Dr. Ford made an allegation.
- She could not corroborate her claims credibly.
- This left individuals with a choice; do we disqualify the nominee based on the testimony of the accused alone, or do we respect our tradition of presumption of innocence and move forward with the nomination.
In light of that, I chose to view the alleged event as non disqualifying.
Hope that helps.
