Obamacare (with all of its faults) is a big glooming example, poor whites were in an uproar about it and denounced it…when they were in desperate need for it and their reasoning was mainly due to BLACK Obama.

I’m sure that’s true for some. However, what they did was trust their representatives, who pointed out that the ACA was not sustainable, and would result over time in rather large tax increases which would then be foisted upon them; the GOP representatives were correct, and are being proved correct in that analysis.

I don’t know how to parse racism as a possible variable from economic responsibility/fear of rising taxes as a possible variable. And I am not altogether sure that a tiny sampling of the “poor white population” by Maher, the results of which could well have been screened to back up his chosen narrative, sheds any light on that.
