Ignore South Korea or Taiwan great results. They tested and traced. Then ordered stay at home. That worked. Their economies are now open as is China.

I’m not ignoring anything. I’m simply stating what reality is in the US. We are where we are, which is….mediocre, as comparisons go:

So, we basically sit, nationally, in this odd zone where there are a lot of countries that we can say “Boy, are we glad we’re not THEM”, and then there’s a lot of countries where we can say “Gee, I WISH we were them.”

But, we’re not. We are where we are.

My Taiwanese friend told me we’re screwed in the US, because there’s no way it’s citizens will adapt to that way of life. Your comments proved her correct

Although I don’t think we’re “screwed” in the least, she’s absolutely correct about the differences in the societies. I have a South Korean friend who says the same thing. What SK did to control the virus would have been entirely illegal here, and might have resulted in …… well, let’s just say our protests would have been a lot more interesting than the ones we have had up to this point, and leave it at that.

Free markets/free minds. Question all narratives. If you think one political party is perfect and the other party is evil, the problem with our politics is you.
