….but this guy is couple sandwiches short of picnic. He is here only to antagonize. I would enjoy watching him flail away if it weren’t so predictable and asinine.
I’m not completley sure he’s without hope.
There’s a concept in Educational Psychology called “pegboarding”. (It has other names, but the point remains the same.)
When you’re presented with a concept (or argument) that you’re unfamiliar with, your brain tries to find a “peg” on the pegboard to hang it on. IOW, it tries to classify it based on something else you already know.
If you don’t have any experience with conservative views on things like the VRA gerrymander, voting maps, or the actual data on things like Voter ID, and you’re steeped in social justice swill, then the only “peg” you can find to hang a conservative argument on is “racism”.
The problem is tribal. People associate only with other people in their “tribes” these days (although I have this nagging suspicion that “tribe” is a faulty term to describe the phenomenon) and tend to only read information sources that support your tribe.
Hence, the accusations of “racist/racism” when there is none. Could be that an action has a racial EFFECT, but that’s not racism.
