I remember an article written by Svetlana Voreskova years ago before Medium made her disappear for being too effective in her communication. :-)

In it, she pointed out that women have complete control over the 2 most highly treasured commodities in the world, those being a vagina and procreation; and if women ever figured out how to actually use those commodities to their best advantage, (and stop giving them away irresponsibly) they'd control the world. :-)

Of course, Lana was writing from the conservative point of view, going on to rail about how women who give away these commodities before the man makes a permanent commitment to her is working against her own best interests; and thus deserves and problems that come of it (she was speaking here not of unwanted pregnancy, but of emotional distress and being relegated to second-class citizenhood.)

Interesting now to see the same arguments that were made by a pro-life conservative moralist being made by those on the left side of the spectrum.

If nothing else, the pendulum continues to swing.
