I did not attack you personally; I said that what you said was stupid.
(Amused, watches you move the goalposts.)
Of course he has “some power”
Thank you for granting the point.
“You literally called him “president of the deep state.”
Oh, let’s look back at what I said:
Consider the possibility that the neocons/MIC’s found an opportunity (or, if you’re into conspiracy theories, created one) to bring Trump over to their way of thinking. An all you needed was a few well-placed lies about how certain we were of the source to tip the scales, and bring Deep State President McCain back into a position of power.
Please note the qualification “consider the possibility.” We are therefore speculating.
Let’s suppose there is, in fact, an organized faction (obviously, there’s an unorganized one) wishing codify the practice of projecting American power abroad.
Now, I don’t know if there is or there isn’t, but it’s certainly a possibility, given how powerful people in politics traditionally try to impose their views. And if such a faction exists, is it really so outlandish to suspect that (a) they would attempt to manipulate a politically inexperienced president into coming around to their way of thinking? And if so, wouldn’t you expect them to have some individual (b) coordinating such efforts?
And you think that McCain wouldn’t be front and center, if all this were the case? What’s hanging you up, the fact I used the term “president” as opposed to “leader”?
You might consider revising your views on this matter.
Bolton is a senior, though unofficial, advisor to Trump and has been with him throughout his entire campaign. Trump, on the other hand, despises McCain and will have absolutely nothing to do with him. Of course Bolton has more influence over what the president chooses to do. Come on. This isn’t so hard.
No, it’s not hard at all. You seem to think that McCain is so stupid that, knowing how Trump views him, he’d try to influence him directly, as opposed to working through proxies. I disagree.
Odd, that. But, do remember, we are speculating about what is essentially a conspiracy theory, albeit one that sits on the border of conspiracy and possibility.
But it seems that it is you, in fact, who’s off to a bad start.
Indeed? Seems to me you’re walking backwards.
