“For most Jews in America, they support same sex couples right to marry.”
They may indeed, but we were talking about JCT, not what certain subgroups have chosen to do. Kind of hard to look at the Law of Moses and claim that it supports same sex marriage. I would suppose that the more “orthodox” your Jewish beliefs, the less likely you would be to support SSM. Same would be true for Christians and Muslims. So, that’s not news, it’s to be expected.
“the RR claim JCT as their ideological reason for what they do.”
I think that’s just too broad a brush to paint with. If you asked a hundred people who associate themselves with the RR what JCT means, (even if it was a hundred pastors) I think you’d get a hundred different answers.
At the end of the day, and after you muddled through all the pablum that your 100 people or pastors responded with, you’d not be able to say anything more specific than “JCT is a world view that is advised by the Torah, Psalms, Prophets, and New Testament.”
That’s……..pretty broad. But, YMMV.
