So that 20% copay (subsidized for poor families) don’t look so bad at 7% US equivalent. And Japan’s outcomes are the bomb compared to the US so your fleeing physician schtick is all wet.

Fact is that if you remove financial incentives from any occupation, you’ll get a change in the makeup of the people going into that occupation. I prefer to have the best and brightest in medicine.

And anyway, I thought you econs are all about price driving competition. Are you saying competition is not a good force in the health care market?

Just the opposite.

Are you saying we need overpriced junk health care to keep fat cat doctors happy?

No, I want market driven quality health care and the best in the profession that I can get.
