If people want something, but don’t want to pay for it then they don’t really want it.

Extremely important point. Everyone loves a free lunch; polling that says “hey, how about Medicare 4 All” is always going to poll well, because you phrased it as “free”, and with no other changes in the “system”.

When in fact there would be MASSIVE changes in the “system” to make it work, not even getting into the problem that you’re taking a system which already is failing and extending it to everyone.

The best way to lose in 2020 is to nominate another bad candidate and push for a more “progressive” agenda. The quotes are to signal the fact that none of that agenda is actually progress. It has been tried before.

I keep telling the left that if they want to win 40+ states in 2020, all they have to do is nominate a sane centrist like Joe Manchin.

They won’t. They’ll nominate a corporate-owned left-wing nutcase like Kamala Harris because she checks all their identity boxes.

Free markets, free minds. Question all narratives. If you think one political party is right and the other party is evil, the problem with our politics is you.
