Exactly this.

I gave up debating religion on social media back when social media was USENET, for many of the same reasons you provide. In the case of Christianity, all of the "anti" arguments levied were rehashes of arguments made in the 3rd century, and answered by Justin Martyr.

Eventually it all gets boring. There are rational atheists who can see both sides of the "is religion a net good or a net bad" question, like yourself, and then there are the ideolgical atheists who are on a Crusade (term used intentionally) to harass theists.

The latter aren't worth any time.
