I live among these cretins…
Consider moving, then.
I live and work almost exclusively among the right-wing, and I not only do I not hear any mysogeny in the reasoning regarding their not-Hilary views, it’s been 20 years since I’ve heard the “n” word used with the exception of ONE family member of mine who is pilloried by the rest of the family every time he dares utter it. Who all voted for Trump, I should add.
That said, neither you nor I have, in our circle of acquaintances, a statistically significant cross-sampling of the American electorate that allows us to attribute their characteristics to the *entire* electorate. To do so is intellectual dishonesty.
As to Mr. Comey’s “evidence” Ms. Clinton broke any laws, I’ll believe it when..
You can believe what you want to, but you’re moving the goalposts. You started out by telling me that there was “zero evidence” (your words). The Comey report outlines the evidence. Period. If you want to qualify your statement (as you seem to want to do) to say “ok, but there’s not ENOUGH evidence to be actionable” (as Comey did) that’s your perogative. But that’s not what you said the first time.
Let’s put that another way. You can believe if you like that the evidence is not relevant or insufficient to move to indictment. Others can believe if they like that the evidence IS relevant AND sufficient to move to indictment. Both are reasonable interpretations of the situation, although the former is on shaky legal grounds, due to the way the statute is worded.
But to categorically state that there is NO EVIDENCE? That’s false, prima facie. The evidence is in written form on FBI letterhead.
