That’s precisely what you did by conjuring Clinton.
Clearly you have no intention of being serious, to compare a contemporary (Clinton) with Jefferson. Clinton was operating under the same social rules, vis a vis sexual abuse, as today.
Try to be serious.
Is somehow less hypocritical than Bill Clinton? We have a definitions issue here.
History matters. Jefferson and the rest of the Northern Framers had to make a choice. Did they want all the British colonies to sign on to the new Republic, or did they want to have a “United States of America” ONLY consisting of the states above the Mason-Dixon line or not? In order to have unified America, they decided to make a deal with the devil, so to speak.
Was it right? By today’s standards, of course not. By the standards then? I don’t know. What I do know is that they were faced with a dilemma, and it is difficult for people, 250 years ex post facto, to decide what was the right thing to do, given the circumstances back then.
And from, there, on you go about Jefferson. You’re off topic. You’ve provided precisely ZERO refutation of my original contention regarding Mr. Clinton, other than the laughable notion that 20 years in the past is somehow equivalent to 250 years in the past.
If you disagree, I suggest you bring your “A” game and at least try to prove your point.
