Bingo. If we women in the US are oppressed, then give me more of it. Please.

I’ve been to the places you’ve been, and have relatives and friends in the developing world, and seen *real* oppression of women. And if any of these shrinking violets who call themselves “intersectional feminists” (the REAL feminists, the ones who did the heavy lifting when it came to voting rights and education and employment and health care, have long sense fled the scene) would shrivel up in the hot sun. Oh — and the women that are fighting for women’s rights OVER THERE are not being opposed with catcalls and opened doors; they are sometimes beaten and burned, with acid tossed in their faces.

It is the massive elitist entitlement of Western society that enables one to be obsessed with social justice issues.
