Because I have some background in life science stats, and have been running my own models, I’ve had people ask me “OK, based on YOUR experience, when is this “over”, meaning the quarantining is over and we’re back to a normal life?”
I’ve answered them as follows:
Best Case: May 1.
Worst Case: Spring of 2023.
That is literally how much uncertainty we’re dealing with here. You change assumptions really just a little bit, and you see these mad swings in projected outcomes. As the data improves, those confidence intervals will of course start to narrow, but right now, you could drive an 18 wheeler between those intervals.
