And you’re really wrong here because 1000s and 1000s are leaving ‘liberalism’ and moving towards socialism, democratic socialism, etc.

Who are those? Europe has dropped tax rates and regulations on their economy at a rather fantastic rate since those structures were first established. They have moved more rapidly towards the American model than we have moved towards theirs, in particular because of the mediocre economic growth it supplied (on average, between .5–1.5 lower than US GDP over time).

Democratic socialism survived

Hm? “Democratic socialism” would be a governance system where the government owns the means of production and you have a representative government voted in by the people. Norway is the only European country that even partially qualifies, because it’s a small population nation enabled by massive profits generated by the state-owned oil company. That model doesn’t exist anywhere else.

What you mean to say is that the European nations are social democracies, which is not anything related to socialism in the least. A social democracy is a free-market economy which uses high tax rates to provide a level of social welfare spending well above subsistence. This is why the Prime Minster of Denmark went a little crazy and told Bernie Sanders to shut up and learn something when Bernie kept calling Denmark a “socialist country”. They’re not.

universal (single-payer) health care,

Full Stop! Single-payer is a TYPE of universal care; not all universal care systems are single payer. Switzerland, the Netherlands, and others still use health insurance companies.

I recommend doing some simple reading on this…

I’ve done a lot of detailed reading on it, thanks.

Free markets/free minds. Question all narratives. If you think one political party is perfect and the other party is evil, the problem with our politics is you.
