Some assert that he should run for president in 2020, proving once again that Democrats refuse to learn anything from past mistakes.

Amen.

Complaints about wealth inequality ring hollow when they come from the mouth of a multi-millionaire born into a political dynasty.

You’re letting him off easy. The words “entitled”, “trust fund baby”, and “raised in a cloistered rich-kid existence” should also factor into his description, somehow.

But, considering last weeks’ Flavor of the Week was Oprah…well, not sure that’s a step up or down.

Few recognize how the past few decades of neoliberal legislation …in the form of social programs and redistribution of wealth reinforces racism at an institutional level.

None of the policy solutions you like (which I would largely disagree with) will change anything until the inability to provide a quality K-12 education to lower socioeconomic districts is addressed.

Why would he push for a robust public health care option when it would adversely affect the drug companies he is involved with?

True.

Why demand improved financial regulation when it could mean fewer donations?

Well, that’s not as much of a fait accompli as you seem to think it is. And the bankers know this.

Kennedy stated that Russia was “knee deep in our democracy” within the first couple minutes of his speech.

Yep. That had me flipping channels immediately, because if that’s how something starts, you don’t need to see how it ends. But, if you want to be part of the Dem “Club” these days, you have to pretend you believe that. And ignore the fact that making an enemy of a country who doesn’t want to be our enemy, but has a thousand nukes trained at our major cities, is not a good idea.

It would seem that Democrats pursue this conspiracy because Trump’s victory is a direct challenge to their faith in America as a meritocracy. If they can attribute it to external influence, they don’t need to modify their worldview.

True, but do keep in mind that both parties, after they lose, rationalize the reasons why they lost, in a way that allows them to not modify said worldview. It’s actually a failing of human nature, to blame your shortcomings on external forces.
