1) I the data I previously posted shows that racism is not the driver in this issue.

2) The WWC, who traditionally have been Dem voters since WW2, have been left in the lurch by the Dems. This shift started some time ago, but was certainly front and center when Clinton signed NAFTA; the unions warned that the Clinton trade agreement template would suck jobs out of America, and they were correct. So, WWC angst against the Dems has been growing for some time; the only thing that prevented it from metastasizing was the fact that the Repubs, prior to Trump, didn't speak to WWC concerns either. Trump was the only POTUS candidate in 30 years who sounded like he would put WWC economic issues on the table. Hence, the vote.

3) Prior to Trump, the primary advocate for protectionist tariffs was --- wait for it --- the unions. So, it's not suprising that laid-off current and former union members would be tariff supporters; and obviously, at the 4% unemployment figure we are currently at, with tons of unfilled jobs, very few people are feeling "decimated" right now. You'll also note that BIden has NOT lifted the Trump tariffs, so we can conclude that the Democrats have embraced the policy.

4) The red states have indeed firmed up voting procedures. I know there is a lot of demogogery out there right now claiming that "our democracy is at stake", but ..... please. Every time the Rs have passed any sort of voter integrity provision over the last two decades, people have screamed that "voters are being disenfranchised"..... but then the data comes in, and we find out that voter turnout ROSE election to election. The same will happen in 2022. Nobody who wants to vote will be prevented from doing so, and the WWC realizes this even if the chattering class does not.

Free markets/free minds. Question all narratives. If you think one political party is perfect and the other party is evil, the problem with our politics is you.
